Al Bataeh put on a strong performance at Zabeel Stadium, forcing Al Wasl to retreat, but lacked the final touch. As a result, Al Bataeh’s points tally remains at 13. Following the match, the team’s coach, Farhad Majidi, stated in the post-match press conference that the team did not deserve to lose and that the players performed well, especially after the substitutions in the second half.
Our team was going through a difficult period, but in tough situations you have to prove yourself, and our players did exactly that. Over the past few weeks, our team’s upward trend has been very positive and we have achieved good results. However, what is certain is that whether we are facing teams at the top of the table or those at the bottom, we must earn points.
For the match against Al Wasl, we are also aiming to take points. We know that Al Wasl are a very strong side with excellent players and are one of the top teams in the UAE league. But our team is in a position where the players need to show what they are capable of and demonstrate their quality. I believe we will deliver a good performance against Al Wasl, especially considering how well and energetically the players have trained over the past week. Their high motivation has made me, as a coach, hopeful that we can achieve even better results
