As part of their preparations for the resumption of league matches following the international break for the UAE national team’s participation in the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, Al Bataeh played a friendly match against Saudi Arabia’s Al Fayha. Al Bataeh won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Alvaro Oliveira in the second half. The match was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel training grounds in Al Ain, where Al Fayha is currently based. Al Bataeh entered the match under the guidance of Iranian coach Farhad Majidi, who used it to assess his team’s physical and technical readiness, giving most of the players playing time. Al Bataeh’s next match will be against Al Nasr in the ADNOC Pro League on December 21st at Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium in Sharjah.
In the eighth round of the ADNOC Pro League, Al Bataeh secured a valuable away victory against Kalba, winning 3-1. Anatoli opened the scoring with a header in the 41st minute of the first half, followed by Saud Khalil in the 48th minute of the second half. Evouni sealed the win with a third goal in stoppage time. Coach Farhad Majidi fielded a starting lineup that included Abdulrahman Al Ameri, Milki, Dini, Rafael, Marwan Fahad, Saud Khalil, Neto, Omar Keita, and Mohamed Pele in midfield, and Daniel Bessa and Anatoli in attack. After the match, the coach stated in the post-match press conference that the players delivered a balanced performance and lived up to expectations. He expressed his satisfaction with both the performance and the result, noting that while they had played well in previous matches, they hadn’t been able to secure the necessary points. The coach has granted his players a seven-day break before resuming training during the international break for the UAE national team’s participation in the Arab Cup, which runs from December 1st to 18th.
Al Bataeh will play their eighth match in the ADNOC Pro League against Kalba at Kalba Club Stadium. The team enters the match with 3 points from their victory over Khor Fakkan in the second round. Despite their strong performances in most matches, the team has been struggling with poor results, plagued by bad luck. Coach Farhad Majidi is counting on his players to overcome this slump. It’s worth noting that the team currently sits at the bottom of the table following yesterday’s results: Dibba’s draw against Al Wahda and Bani Yas’s victory over Sharjah.
