ودع البطائح مسابقة كأس رئيس الدولة من الدور 16 بعد خسارته من شباب الأهلي بركلات الترجيح بعد نهاية المباراة بالتعادل السلبي بدون أهداف ، أقيمت المباراة على ستاد خالد بن محمد بالشارقة ، دخل البطائح المباراة وهو محملاً بغيابات مثل محمد جمعة وعبدالعزيز هيكل ومروان فهد وعزيز جانييف وعمر كيتا بداعي بنود العقود مع شباب الأهلي وغاب ايضا ميلكي وحمد البلوشي وسعيد جمعة للإصابة ، استطاع فرهاد مجيدي مدرب فريق البطائح فرض اسلوبه الدفاعي المحكم في المباراة وحد من خطورة نجوم شباب الأهلي طوال ال120 دقيقة إلا ان ركلات الحظ الترجيحية ادارت ظهرها للبطائح بعد ما قدم لاعبوه أداءً قوياً وكانوا نداً لشباب الأهلي الذي أستحق التأهل لدور ال8 ، وبعد نهاية المباراة وخلال المؤتمر الصحفي قال فرهاد مجيدي ان لاعبوه قدموا مباراة قوية وأداءً عالية فالبرغم من النقص إلا أن فريقه كان ندا لشباب الاهلي الذي يعتبر من أقوى الفرق في الإمارات وقال مجيدي نعم الفريق ناقص العدد وكان يجب تدعيمه بشكل أكبر عن الموسم الماضي وذكر فرهاد أن الفريق يخلق فرص كثيرة في كل مبارياته إلا أنه يعاني من قلة التسجيل وهذا ماسنعمل عليه ونحاول تحسينه

Al Bataeh continued its series of negative results by losing to Al Wahda with three goals to one in the match that brought the two teams together at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium in the sixth round of the ADNOC Professional League Championship. Al Bataeh entered the match intending to improve its position in the standings, but Al Wahda quickly ended that by scoring two consecutive goals from two defensive errors in the 10th and 14th minutes of the first half. Al Bataeh tried to catch up in the match and was able to control the course of the match, but Al Wahda scored the third goal before its player was sent off in the second half. Al Bataeh reduced the difference in the 65th minute and tried to equalize, but Al Wahda’s defense repelled the team’s attacks. With this loss, Al Bataeh’s balance froze at 3 points in twelfth place.

Al Bataeh coach Farhad Majidi said in the press conference in advance of his team’s match against Al Wahda in the sixth round of the ADNOC Professional League: “We are returning after a long break, during which we worked on the players’ physical side. It was an opportunity for our injured players to return and have friendly experiences to maintain the pace of the matches. We are playing our match against one of the best teams in the league, as this match requires great focus and discipline on the field, and we seek to come out positive.” Meanwhile, player and captain of the first team, Abdulaziz Heikal, said: “Our preparations are positive for the Al Wahda match, and we are ready to do our best to come out with a positive result. Al Wahda is a distinguished team with distinguished players, and I am confident in my fellow players and our ability to play a good match. The long break was a positive opportunity if it was exploited in a way that benefits the team, and this is what we worked on throughout that period.”
