Al-Bataeh Football Company announced that it has signed a contract with the Romanian coach, Merle Radoi, to lead the first team during the new football season, which begins next August.

Radoi began his coaching career in 2015 when he led Steaua Bucharest, then worked as a sports director for the Romanian Olympic team, then as its technical director, before taking over the leadership of the first Romanian national team, then the Universitatea Craiova club in his country, and finally the Saudi club Al-Tai.

It is noteworthy that Radoi (42 years) began his professional career as a “player” in the Arab stadiums with Al Hilal Saudi Arabia in the 2009-2011 season, coming from Steaua Bucharest club, and achieved with him the league title twice and the Crown Prince Cup three times in a row, before moving after that to Al Ain UAE. And from him to his countryman Al-Ahly and finally the Qatari Arab.

Radoi, who played 67 international matches, won three Romanian league titles with Steaua Bucharest, two titles with Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, and the same with Al-Ahly of the Emirates.

Al-Bataeh team refused to leave the professional league, and adhered to staying with the big clubs, despite losing to Al-Ain team with a score (5/2), during the match that brought them together at Hazaa Stadium in Al-Ain, within the last round of the ADNOC Professional League, where he remained on his score ( 21 points), in the twelfth place, benefiting from the stumbling of its direct competitor, the Dibba team, in a draw against Al Dhafra, with a score of (1/1), while Al Ain kept the rank in the ranking, with (45 points).

The goals of the Al Ain team were scored by the Ukrainian Yarmolenko in the two minutes (2, 61), the Togolese Laba Kodjo in the two minutes (20, 47,) and Jonatas in the (79) minute, while the goals of Al-Bataeh were scored by Lawrence Du in the minute (52), and Anatole Bang, in the minute (68)

The joys of Al-Bataeh erupted after the match referee blew the final whistle, and everyone shed tears of joy, and exchanged congratulations and blessings, announcing the opening of a new page that will be titled as victories and achievements in the new football season.

Moroccan Saeed Shakhit revealed, on Al-Bataeh coach, the goals he seeks to achieve when he faces the Ajman team, “Monday”, in the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup.

He stressed that Ajman is a distinguished and respected team that plays well, and added during the introductory press conference: We strive to provide our best and achieve a positive result. He added: The match will not be easy and I expect it to be strong and fast from both teams, and we will play against an organized team that has proven its presence in the league championship.

Saeed Shakhit promised to fight for a positive result, while expressing his unlimited confidence in his squad that will compete in the match.

Captain Moataz Abdullah, the coach of the first football team at Al-Bataeh club, confirmed that the Al-Nasr match was played differently from previous matches, considering that the situation for his team has become difficult at the present time.

He said during the introductory press conference: Al-Bataeh was ahead of the opposing team, Dibba, and now we are behind by a goal difference.

He added, “We must play the Al-Nassr match in a strong way, and prove our presence and our worth to remain within the clubs of the UAE Professional League.”

Al-Bataeh team defeated Khorfakkan (2/1), during the match between the two teams at Saqr bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi Stadium in Khorfakkan, for the 18th round of the Professional League for the U-21 category.
