Al Bataeh loses to Al Ain in the first leg of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup

Al-Bataeh suffered a huge loss against Al-Ain, amounting to five goals to none, during the match that took place between them, at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium in Sharjah, in the first leg of the first round of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup competition.

Al-Bataeh did not present the performance expected of him in the match for several reasons, most notably the changes that occurred in the squad, as the Romanian coach, Mirel Radoi, pushed a number of elements that did not participate mainly, in order to prepare them and enter them into the formal matches, and goalkeeper Zayed Al-Hammadi participated for the first time since the beginning of the current season. While the main goalkeeper, Ibrahim Issa, sat on the bench, and defender Abdullah Al-Rifai appeared in the place of the veteran Muhammad Ahmed, and Anatole also disappeared before appearing in the second session, in addition to the team losing its left back, Rashid Muhair, after only 12 minutes had passed from the start of the match due to injury, to replace him. Ahmed Mohamed, who makes his first appearance with the first team.

Al-Bataeh had several chances in front of the goal, but they lacked the final touch. Cameroonian Anatole had scored a goal, but the referee ruled it out for offside after returning to the VAR technique. The final minutes of the match did not witness anything new, so the match ended with Al-Bataeh losing by five goals to nothing.
