Al-Bataeh achieved a valuable draw against Ajman with a score of (1/1), during the confrontation that brought them together at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium in Sharjah, for the 21st round of the ADNOC Professional League, and with this result, Al-Bataeh raised his score to 18 points in the twelfth place, while Ajman’s balance became 35. points in seventh place.
Al-Bataeh started the match strongly, dominated the field length and width, dominated the course of the game, and launched a fierce attack on the Ajman goal in order to score an early goal that puts the team in a good position, and he had what he wanted when the Cameroonian striker Anatol Abang managed to reach the visitors’ goal with a 29-mm missile. All attempts by the goalkeeper failed.
The goal contributed to whet the appetite of Al-Bataeh players to score more goals, as there were many opportunities, but they missed the final touch, so the first half ended with Al-Bataeh advancing.
Ajman was able to adjust the score at the start of the second half, but Al-Bataeh held fast and organized its ranks and did not leave the atmosphere of the match, and its players continued to perform at a strong pace.
Despite the referee expelling the Al-Bataeh duo, Saeed Sweidan in the 63rd minute and Issa Ahmed in the 88th minute, the team managed to withstand the visitors’ attacks, and goalkeeper Zayed Al-Hammadi crowned himself a champion of the confrontation when he saved two penalties from the feet of Tunisian Firas Bel-Arabi, so that Al-Bataeh achieved a tie with the taste of victory.
