Al-Bataeh presents a great match and loses to Al-Wahda

Al-Bataeh lost to Al-Wehda (1/2) during the match that took place between them at Al Nahyan Stadium in Al-Wehda Club for the 17th round of the ADNOC Professional League.

Moroccan Saeed Chakhit, coach of Al-Bataeh, pushed a squad consisting of: Abdullah Youssef, Artur Georgi, Hamdan Nasser, Muhammad Khalfan, Issa Ahmed, Joao Pedro, Kwame, Muhammad Al-Shehhi, Lawrence Do, Seiko Baba and Anatoly, and in the second half, Hamad Jassim substituted for Al-Shehhi and Saif Rashid substituted for Seiko Baba.

With this result, Al-Bataeh’s balance remained at 15 points, in the eleventh place in the standings table.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, and Siko Baba almost put Al-Bataeh in the lead, but he was unlucky when he dodged the Al-Wahda defense and confronted the goalkeeper, but the latter managed to push the ball away with difficulty.

The level rose in the second half, and Al-Wahda advanced through Tabagali in the 51st minute. Joao Pedro missed the opportunity to adjust the score when the referee awarded a penalty kick to Al-Bataeh, but the player missed it at the 61st minute.

Lawrence ensured that Al-Bataeh scored the equalizer with a shot from outside the penalty area, with which all attempts by the Al-Wahda goalkeeper to clear it failed at the 63rd minute.

Al-Wehda player Abdullah Hamad was injured and failed to complete the match, to be transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Al-Wahda managed to score the second goal at the 105th minute through substitute player Facundo. Al-Bataeh lost the match despite the outstanding level and combat performance, especially in the second half.
