Al-Bataeh to the quarter-finals of the most expensive cups

The first football team of Al-Bataeh Club reached the quarter-finals of the President’s Cup, after defeating Ittihad Kalba by penalty kicks (6-5), after the match ended in its original time with a positive draw (3-3), during the match that took place at Ittihad Stadium. Kalba, in the 16th round of the championship, in a very exciting match, and Ittihad Kalba took the lead with the first goal, and strengthened it with the second from a penalty kick, before Al-Bataeh managed to reduce the difference through defender Artur George “41.” Kalba added a third goal in the second half, but Al-Bataeh managed to score the second goal “66” from Siko Baba’s shot, which was completed by the Kalba goalkeeper inside the goal, and Al-Bataeh exerted terrible pressure on Ittihad Kalba until he managed to equalize in the last minute of lost time through Lawrence Doe, to extend the match to additional runs, then to penalty kicks, which smiled at Al-Bataeh.
